A day in the life of a child in a informal settlement

Last night I had to study under the lamppost  because I don’t have a light in my shack.It started drizzling so I had to walk back home.As I got home everything was wet.I decided to go to bed but then I heard a loud party going on and I could not go to bed.My mom was so mad because everything was so wet.

In the morning I had to get ready for school but I realized my clothes are sopping wet so I just had to wear them and go to school.Before I left I asked my mom is there any breakfast and my mom said no we don’t have any food so I went to school starving.I had to walk 2km to walk to get to school.

.I got to school and I was ready for work but there was only ten textbooks so we had to share.I was starving and I could not focus.At brake they gave us some lunch and I was so happy.After school I was walking home and then I got bullied the pushed me down to the ground and said I am so poor and they started laughing then I ran away sobbing.i got home and shouted to my mom can’t you just make some more money we are so poor! Then my mom became silent and started crying.I felt so bad and comforted her.My mom told me she is saving up for a better shack and that made me happy.When we have money we Will get warmer blankets.So after that we started selling Some things on the Street to make Some money.

    A good attempt, Chumile, with some lovely sentences. Shorten some of your sentences and split them into two sentences.

Two weeks ago we were on camp.We went to Giraffe House and it was so fun i kissed a frog it was so wet and i held a python Lorenzo had to hold the head. Then we went to Simonsberg we arrived at Simonsberg and they told us where our cabins were.I was so happy that i was in a cabin with Zoe,Zahara,Lene,Ami and myself.The first day we didn't do much we just got free time and played in the forest. The Singing Inspector

There was one horrible day when Mr R came.He was our music teacher he was very rude.He looked like a crazy and weird man.Everyone in the class dislikes him.He wears thick stockings like a weird hunting man.He is not a nice teacher at all,let me tell you about him. We had to sing doh ray me fah and tata tete. He called out Benny and I first up to sing.We did not know any songs to sing.I sang the song Pretty Polly. I sang in a low Voice and Benny sang in a high pitched voice. I wanted to laugh but i was to frightend. Mr R shouted at us and called us stupid.He broke all of our Hearts i hope one day he Will get taught a lesson.
